1. What happens during the Injectable Consultation at Blue Door?
Your consultation is a one-on-one session with a clinical expert. We review your medical history, screen your current medications and supplements, perform a full facial assessment, discuss your aesthetic goals, walk through risk disclosure, take clinical photography, and build a customized treatment plan proposal. This is a real medical-style intake. If treatment is appropriate, it can be performed after the assessment and plan creation.
2. Is the consultation really complimentary? and what's the $50 booking fee?
Yes. The Injectable Consultation itself is complimentary. A $50 booking fee is collected at the time of scheduling, and that fee is applied directly to your first treatment protocol. If you move forward, you're not paying anything extra.
3. Will I receive treatment on the same day, or is this just an assessment?
It's possible. If appropriate, treatment can be performed after the assessment and plan creation. However, we never treat without proper assessment, the consultation always comes first, and treatment only happens if your provider determines it's safe and suitable for you.
4. What's the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport) temporarily relax targeted muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles and prevent deep crease formation. Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid-based gels that restore volume, contour, and structure. They address different concerns and are often used together. Botox for the movement-based lines, fillers for volume and architecture.
5. I'm worried about looking overdone or unnatural. How do you prevent that?
Blue Door's entire philosophy is designed to prevent this. Filler is positioned as structural architecture. The goal is balance, symmetry, proportion, and subtle refinement. We assess the full face to keep features proportionate and natural-looking. We design customized facial balancing plans, not transactional syringe-by-syringe treatments. The emphasis stays on expertise, safety, natural outcomes, and long-term strategy.
6. What does "facial balancing" mean, and why do you take a full-face approach?
Facial balancing is Blue Door's approach to injectable treatment, designing a customized plan that considers the full face rather than treating isolated areas. It uses strategic placement of neuromodulators and/or fillers to create balance, symmetry, proportion, and subtle refinement across your features.
7. How do I know how many units or syringes I'll need?
Your injectable plan is completely unique. It depends on your facial anatomy, goals, and what's required for balance. Blue Door assesses the full face to keep features proportionate and natural-looking. Your provider will recommend the exact number during your consultation. For reference, Blue Door offers multi-syringe packages (3-syringe package at $2,020 and 4-syringe package at $2,850) for clients whose plans require more comprehensive treatment.
8. Can Botox or filler be reversed if I don't like the results?
Yes. If adjustment or removal of hyaluronic acid filler is required, a corrective enzyme called Hyaluronidase may be used to safely break down filler material. Blue Door offers Filler Dissolve (Hyaluronidase) as a dedicated service. Small Area at $250 and standard at $320.
9. Who performs the treatments, and what are their qualifications?
Injectables at Blue Door are performed by Dr. Sharon Fong, MD, who serves as Medical Director and Injector. The treatment is physician-led with medical oversight throughout the process.
10. How to prepare for your appointment?
Bring your current list of medications and supplements. Medication screening is part of the mandatory consultation. Come prepared to discuss your aesthetic goals. This is a comprehensive professional intake, not a quick in-and-out visit. If appropriate, it’s helpful to avoid non-prescribed blood-thinning medications and supplements in the week prior to potential treatment. Do not stop anything prescribed without physician guidance. Be ready for a full intake process including: health history review, medication screening, facial assessment, photography, and risk disclosure.
